a Nintendo game, then no. We are talking about games that have gone beyond GTA San Andreas and are way beyond 20 million copies sold. Selling fast is nice, but CoD doesn't have the legs or the install base to be one of the highest selling games of all-time.
people don't think FFXIII will be met with high reviews because the game design will be ripped apart by the western press. If early reviews weren't any indication S-E made a poor decisions....
read the article?
"The one thing I did was, when I looked at their game I was like, damn them! What have they done to the rest of us? I was looking for something where I could say, okay, that we're doing better."
That's a pretty big compliment that you rarely hear publicly from one dev to another.
tolerance for nudity and mature themes has raised or something....I'm scratching my head on how it didn't get 18. Must not have hardcore violence or actual sex in it and just plain nudity like the shower scenes.
delivery and banter when he says like UC2.
is the probably the most consistent console game from a technical standpoint I've ever seen. And nothing about KZ2 some of you said was in depth technically at all. Anyway if keeping the SPUs busy 100% of the time gets you Uncharted 2, then the world will probably implode once they optimize with their next game.
I'm not sure what people are seeing that's so technically impressive and that's why I believe the devs when they say the 360 version looks the same. A real PC build would smash KZ2. Those G4 vids don't even match it IMO.
Those Cryengine 3 demos looks world beyond this.
yesterday for about 2 hrs and 15 mins and it was full servers all the way through. I played MW1, KZ2, and Uncharted and they had full servers with far less players at once too so that's a load of crap. You're only getting 3v4...c'mon dude KZ2 only has 200k or so log in during a week and their 32 player games are full with no bots.
Crysis with mods, and Mirrors Edge on PC look photorealistic.
Uncharted 2 even though stylized can approach photorealism during some of its cutscenes.
taking a long time to ship back from the repair center.
Chris Brown's favorite game.
stupidity of Spike VGAs and their affiliates like GT. KZ2 got a 9.2 from their game site. Higher than Assassin's 2, L4D 2, and Batman AA.
would have to have big sales in NA/EU on both systems to make up for Japan. Even if the 360 version was released there it wouldn't make a lick of difference. No chance in Japan unless FFXIII is a system seller and expands the base.
will be sort of interesting. Sony advertising Assassin's Creed and MS MW2. Hopefully AC2 actually delivers on the hype so its a worthwhile investment.
US campaign on the same level? SCEE is going all out though which is nice to see.
someone tell GT open world games have to compromise in areas linear games don't....
for a 3rd person action game. MGS4/RE5/Gears main models are in the teens in terms of polygon count. Good artistry and allocation makes polygon counts not that big of a deal though usually. I think the enemies in U2 have to be somewhere between 15-20k. Probably 18 if I guesstimated.
Gametrailers bring up Uncharted 2's animation, set pieces, detail, or presentation in any high profile game's review this year.
also took 2 years back in 2007 if we are just considering console launch to point x for dev time.
are up there with "I'm going to file this under not an issue". Funny stuff.
I'm glad to see Sony's paying Kevin Butler the dough to keep these commercials up.
